This position is responsible for collecting, verifying, managing, uploading, transmitting and reporting Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. (GIM) business and programmatic statistical information accurately. This position provides GIM data to GII Data Analytics system "Gateway". This position provides the executive team accurate data and information by routine and special reporting. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is reviewed annually.





  1. Acquire and verify data from various business and programmatic functions;

     manage and maintain data.


  1. Monitor data quality and work with internal stakeholders to identify and correct

     data quality issues.


  1. Analyze business, program and grant funding requirements to determine

     appropriate data needs and reporting solutions.


  1. Analyze and manipulate complex, high-volume data from varying sources using

     a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. Perform data analysis to identify

     and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.


  1. Validate business and program requirements and key assumptions to identify

     potential data or process gaps.


  1. Provide routine and special management reports and present alternatives to

     improve business efficiency and program efficacy.


  1. Provide GIM data and information to GII "Gateway" system.


  1. Assist with the compilation of GIM Key Measures and Program outcomes data

          and information.


  1. Lead in data analysis, design and development of reports, data visualizations

     and other outputs using Excel and other software tools.


  1. Provide data education to executive team, directors and others as designated,

regarding what information is readily available in the data warehouse for



  1. Provide training and support to departments in the use of reports.


  1. Assist in the transition from Monthly/Annual Statistical Report to Enhanced

          Monthly Reporting System schedule.


  1. Serve as administrator for client tracking software and become proficient at

     writing/modifying reports to assure data accuracy, eliminating duplicate

          information as it is discovered. Reviews Client/Program deletions prior to

          scheduled purge.





  1. Participate in special projects as needed.


  1. Perform other duties as assigned.





  1. High school graduate with additional training in technical fields such as computer

     science, math, statistics, or data analytics.


  1. Proficient in MS Office Professional Tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint,



  1. Two years of experience in data mining, data management and reporting or

     similar work required.


  1. Proven experience demonstrating an aptitude to analyze trends, compile data

     into informational reports and providing alternatives based on analysis.


  1. Proficient in visualizing, designing and developing reports using software tools.


  1. Excellent interpersonal and customer/stakeholder service skills.


  1. Ability to function under pressure, be self-directed, and be responsible for

          carrying out job related activities with minimal supervision.


  1. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.


  1. Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including

          current automobile insurance and license plate.


  1. Must pass drug test and comply with Goodwill's Drug-Free Workplace Policy

     throughout employment.
