Supports Goodwill's mission, working as lead team member of the granite recycling business known as Goodwill Rocks. Will supervise sales and marketing of Goodwill Rocks to the community. This will be 50% of the duties of the position. 

Contract sales will constitute 50% of duties of this position.  This entails the solicitation of new manufacturing contracts for the production floor of Industrial Services. 

Sales Representative- Goodwill Rocks/ Contract Sales is a Junior Staff position and reports to the V.P. of Industrial Services. 



Goodwill Rocks Sales: 

  • Oversees Sales and inventory of product for Goodwill Rocks:
    • Maintains current inventory records and analyzes the sales data to ensure daily quotas and production are met
    • Works with accounting to stay in real time tracking of sales and inventory 
  • Participates in the development of product-current lines and new ideas:
    • Develops art work utilizing Adobe Illustrator 
  • Markets Goodwill Rocks to appropriate segments of the community, including but not limited to:
    • Construction and Landscaping Industry
    • Real Estate Industry (both residential and commercial)
    • Home Improvement
    • Artistic
    • Retail 
  • Will develop, promote and manage on-line sales presence. 
  • Work with fabricators from the hard surface industry and arranges transportation to schedule pick-up of granite from donors to ensure raw materials are available for product production. 
  • Maintains good customer relations by ensuring top quality workmanship, good quality control, and by meeting customer specifications and delivery deadlines. Has contact with customers as required. 
  • Audit finished work as required to ensure compliance with customer quality requirements. 
  • Submit to Industrial Services Coordinator information needed for creation of packing slips and invoices. 
  • Oversee sales representative at Elkhart Boutique location. 

Industrial Services Contract Sales: 

  • Will work in conjunction with the V.P. of Industrial services and Public Relations department to research and develop manufacturing contracts to provide training opportunities for the clients and staff that are employed with the Industrial Services department. 
  • Conduct sales calls with local industry. 
  • Will establish and maintain an accurate contact list to adequately capture all information regarding the sales calls. 
  • After initial sales calls and interest has been established, will secure meeting with the VP of Industrial Service and/or the Industrial Services Lead Supervisor to establish terms of the contract with the customer. 
  • Will familiarize themselves with all facets of Goodwill's mission and outreach and represent Goodwill as a whole. Will direct and make referrals to the appropriate departments to speak to the needs presented by the contact.  



  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.  



  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 3-5 years of successful and verifiable track record in outside sales. 
  • Ability to relate well to all levels of personnel and all temperaments both within and outside the company. Function under pressure, be self-directed, be responsible for carrying out job-related activities with minimal supervision and contribute to achieving Goodwill's mission. 
  • Good use of both hands, arms, and legs as well as good eyesight and hearing. Ability to stand, lift, and work at least eight hours per day. 
  • Computer skills:
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Adobe Illustrator.
    • Ability to learn various vector control programs- which will allow for learning to program and control the laser.
  • Ability to learn and safely operate all Goodwill Rocks equipment. 
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and supervisory skills, including the ability to remain tactful in all situations while maintaining the dignity of all clients, employees, and staff. 
  • Ability to enforce policies and make difficult decisions when necessary. 
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of customers, employees, and clients. Good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Ability to do business & strategic planning while meeting assigned deadlines. 
  • Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
